FamlyThree and four year olds in England are entitled to 15 or 30 hours of free learning per week for 38 weeks of the year, which can take place in nurseries.
In addition there are some 2 year olds who may be able to access 15 hours.
Free learning can be combined between nursery and other settings. Sessions can also be taken flexibly to meet your needs.
When will my child be eligible?
If you child is born between:
- 1 April- 31 August – 1 September following their 2 or 3rd birthday until school age
- 1 Sept – 31 December – 1 January following their 2nd or 3rd birthday until school age
- 1 Jan – 31 March – 1 April following their 2nd or 3rd birthday until school age
Some 2 year olds may also be eligible for funded sessions.
